Job Summary
Title: Maritime Electrical Engineer
Experience Needed: Senior Level
Working Arrangement: Remote (Travel to Southampton 2 times a month)
Location: Southampton

Youll contribute to the electrical design and integration of cutting-edge uncrewed marine vessels playing a vital role in the next generation of sustainable ocean technology. From designing complex electrical systems to supporting the delivery of an advanced new vessel launching next year this is your chance to shape the future of autonomous marine engineering and work on truly pioneering projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical schematics and cabling systems for next-generation autonomous vessels.
- Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings to support the electrical integration of control communication and power systems.
- Develop and manage CAT Fibre and COAX communication networks for vessel control and sensor systems.
- Oversee system installation testing and commissioning ensuring compliance with MCA and DNV maritime standards.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability safety and sustainability across vessel operations.
- Support the delivery of new vessel platforms ensuring robust electrical systems are in place for launch and long-term operation.
Qualifications :
Required Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD for electrical design and schematic creation.
- Strong background in marine electrical engineering or vessel system design.
- Experience working with CAT/Fibre/COAX communication systems.
- Knowledge of MCA DNV or other relevant marine standards.
- Proven experience delivering full system designs from concept to commissioning.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Marine or Systems Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in autonomous or remotely operated marine systems.
- Hands-on experience with cabling routing and harness assembly for marine environments.
- Familiarity with low-voltage power systems and marine communication architectures.
- Understanding of hybrid or renewable power integration in maritime systems.
