Purpose
As People & Culture Advisor you will play a crucial role in overseeing our most valuable assets - our people. Serving as the eyes and ears on the ground your guidance will be invaluable in supporting management across a diverse portfolio of properties with a dedicated emphasis on nurturing growing and retaining our exceptional talent. As part of a dynamic network of like-minded People & Culture experts you will support each other and collaborate seamlessly with our centralised support services team a powerhouse that encompasses administrative support talent acquisition and workers compensation experts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations and performance management for designated properties offering direct guidance to management. You will also advise property People & Culture teams and leaders on Accor policies and practices to ensure compliance. For complex or escalated matters across the broader portfolio provide expert advice and act as a key point of escalation particularly for Industrial Relations ensuring adherence to awards and agreements.
- Oversee and offer guidance on performance reviews training initiatives and actively foster high-performing talent across the Pacific and your designated hotel portfolio.
- Plan execute and facilitate training programs and drive proactive recruitment and retention strategies for the region
- Assist with recruiting and selecting key operational positions within designated properties including posting job advertisements screening and reference checks.
- Respond to and follow up on People & Culture enquiries submitted via email for general queries arranging timely responses or direct intervention as needed.
- Organise and coordinate reward and recognition events and activities for selected hotels your designated portfolio collaborating closely with operational stakeholders.
- Offer support to our injury management team regarding Workers Compensation claims
Qualifications :
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources advisory or business partner role with a strong preference for prior experience in the Hospitality or Tourism sector.
- Demonstrated ability to foster relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Proven expertise in employee relations performance management recruitment workplace legislation and general HR best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian Industrial Relations frameworks and the Hospitality Industry award.
- An inclination toward collaborative problem solving to achieve desired outcomes
- Self-reliant and proactive demonstrating initiative sound judgment meticulousness and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Exceptional organisational skills attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
