**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a hands-on Kitchen Manager to join our team at Dandelion Cafe RICE UNIVERSITY. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and will lead with empathy and a passion for culinary excellence.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supervise daily kitchen operations and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Manage kitchen staff including hiring training and scheduling.
- Coordinate with the General Manager and Owners to maintain high standards of quality and service.
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies.
- Implement and maintain kitchen sanitation and safety protocols.
- Develop and update the menu in collaboration with the culinary team.
- Monitor kitchen budget and control food costs.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Weekdays only some weekends required depending on caterings
- Empathetic and approachable leadership style.
