The Opportunity
Monash University is seeking an experienced and strategic internal audit professional to join our high-performing team as Deputy Director Internal Audit. In this pivotal leadership role you will support the Director in shaping and delivering the Universitys Internal Audit Strategy Annual Internal Audit Plan and associated activities across the Monash Group.
As the Deputy Director you will be responsible for ensuring internal audit strategies programs and operations are aligned with the Universitys strategic and operational priorities and areas of key risk serving as an independent source of comprehensive review for the Director Internal Audit and senior management. By applying a risk-based approach and adhering to industry standards and best practice you will ensure that delivery of internal audit services at Monash are robust and deliver on intended results.
The Deputy Director will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact including through the provision of independent advice and assurance to senior management in a broad range of areas including fraud and corruption prevention detection and investigation and business change and improvement directed towards improving the efficiency economy and effectiveness of the organisation.
