Provides HR support to business unit or corporate functional area which may include recruiting selection and staffing employment and personnel documentation job evaluation compensation and benefits. Acts as a liaison between departments/Companies all levels of line and staff management compensation and benefits department legal counsel and outside service providers. Role typically requires between 2 and 5 years of experience.
- Oversee and collaborate with local team regarding Employee Relations initiatives.
- Manage payroll functions for all employees.
- Recruitment of employees interviewing and new hire onboarding.
- Assist employees with new hire and annual Benefits Enrollment.
- Work with third party agencies regarding FMLA Workers Compensation and Employment.
- Manage and track HR KPIs such as turnover employee engagement training etc.
- Develop and maintain Job Descriptions for all positions.
- Manage and follow up on all employee questions and concerns.
- Maintain all employment records in MPower.
- Maintain and organize employee bulletin boards ensuring all state and federal required postings are current.
- Develop and maintain company policies and procedures and ensure adherence to these policies and procedures.
- Implementation and management of employee recognition programs.
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
The ideal candidate should have the following skills and abilities:
- Job knowledge of HR principles such as recruitment employee relations legal compliance and more.
- Good interpersonal skills that positively impact employee culture.
- Good leadership qualities that are role models for others.
- Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and HRIS Systems.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills.
- 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Human Resources certification or a combination of education and training.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Emotionally intelligent and ability to de-escalate tense situations.
- Collaborative team player with employees at all levels.
- Credible trustworthy adaptable and ethical.
