Job Summary
IndependenceRealtyTrustIncislookingtoaddaPayrollCoordinatortoour dynamic HR team. The PayrollCoordinator assists in the discrepancy research preparation and accuracy of IRTs semi-monthly and bi-weekly U.S. payrolls and interacts with employees throughout the organization.

Dutiesincludebutarenotlimitedto:
- Performestablishedinternalcontrolactivitiesandrespondtoinquiries/requestsinatimelyandprofessionalmanner
- Partner with the Payroll Manager in processing multi-state bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Understand/monitor the flow of information between Human Resources and the payroll system ensuring that all changes submitted to payroll (including W4 and direct deposit changes) are processed correctly
- Reviewcomputedwagesensuringtheaccuracyofearningsanddeductions
- Researchdiscrepanciessuchastimecardmistakestimeoffrequestsovertimeon-callhoursetc.
- Enteringgarnishmentsandwageassignments
- PartnerwiththePayrollManagerinprocessingemployeebonuses
- Printsortanddistributepayrollchecksforon-cycleandoff-cyclecheckruns
- Reviewpayrolldocumentationforaccuracyusingauditreports
- Preparevariousmanagementreports
- Maintainsupportingdocumentationinthefirmsdocumentmanagementsystem
- Processattendancerecordsandotherdocuments(e.g.W-2andtaxforms)
- CoordinatewithHRaboutchangesinpayroll()
- Overseedistributionofpayrollchecks
- Updatepayrolldatasuchassalaryorwageadjustments
- Supportmanagementinworkingwithauthorities()onauditsorrequests
- Processemploymentverifications
- Resolvepayrolldiscrepanciesbycollectingandanalyzinginformation
- EnterdataintoUKG/UltiproforNewHire/Term/TransferandPromotionsandauditingforaccuracyandcompliance
Jobqualificationsincludebutarenotlimitedto:
- BachelorsDegreeinrelevantfieldpreferred
- 5yearsofPayrollexperience
- ProvenexperienceandfamiliaritywithHumanResourcepracticesspecificallypayrollprocessing
- Knowledgeoflegislationrelevanttoaccountingandpayroll(suchasSarbanes-OxleyActFLSAandDepartmentofLaborLawsastheypertaintoPayroll
- Abletobeproactiveself-confidentandadapttochangesinprioritiesanddisplaysasenseofownership
- Proficiency with UKG/Ultipro and/or Paycom
- FamiliaritywithMSOfficeSuiteintermediatetoadvanceduserknowledgeofExcel
- Meticulousattentiontodetailrequired
- Stronganalyticalorganizationalandwritten/verbalcommunicationskills
- Theabilitytoworkwithallprofessionallevelsandmaintainconfidentiality
- Mustbeateamplayerwhocanalsoworkindependently
