What Will you Do
As a Lead Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Pine Rest youll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. Youll be responsible for overseeing overseeing clinical programming for Pine Rests Neurodevelopmental Disorders Unit. The Neurodevelopmental Disorders Unit services children with neurodevelopmental disorders who require intensive acute inpatient psychiatric care. This role will include responsibilities such as creating and training psychiatric technicians nurses and other unit staff to implement behavior support plans (BSPs) coordinating with and providing support to caregivers and working with the Pediatric Center for Behavioral Health (PCBH) leadership to develop and grow behavioral processes and procedures.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the rest of the clinical team to determine patient eligibility and conduct pre-admission family interviews
Conduct functional analyses (e.g. IBA Open-Ended Functional Assessment Interview PFA) and develop behavior support plans
Train staff on unit policies procedures and behavior analytic foundations in collaboration with rest of the clinical team
Check in face-to-face with each patient address barriers respond to staff questions and triage daily issues
Review patient data and clinical notes to identify trends patterns and areas needing intervention
Observe the milieu across shifts to monitor patient-staff interactions identify training needs and provide real-time feedback
Conduct 1:1 patient observations to assess programming make modifications and coach staff on implementation
Ensure effective reinforcement strategies are in place to maintain motivation and engagement
Complete assessments program development behavior plan updates and create visual or communication supports as needed
Prepare for and attend treatment and behavior team meetings
Provide targeted oversight for patients showing stalled progress or increased behavioral concerns
Support staff during challenging behaviors and adjust programming in real time when necessary
Conduct weekly family guidance sessions to teach treatment strategies that support generalization and caregiver confidence post-discharge
Adhere to ethical standards outlined in the BCBA Code of Ethics stay current with research and best practices in applied behavior analysis and seek out professional development on topics such as behavior management progress monitoring data collection social skills and other targeted areas
What Does the Role Require
Education/Experience:
Masters degree required in behavior analysis or related field such as psychology or education
Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required (must provide credentialing information)
Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) through the state of Michigan required (must provide proof of licensure)
At least two years of supervisory or management experience required
Experience working with individuals diagnosed with NDD (Autism Spectrum Disorder Intellectual Delays etc.) required
Minimum of four to five years of applied clinical experience as a BCBA across multiple treatment environments (e.g. ABA clinic school mental health facility in-home) preferred
Experience working as a part of a multidisciplinary team preferred
Experience in Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) preferred
