MRI Technologist Radiology/Cardiology
Location: Columbia SC 29212
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 4x10-Hour Days (09:30 AM 08:00 PM)
Orientation: 16 Hours (Non-Billable)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Columbia South Carolina. The ideal candidate will have experience in MRI imaging within a hospital or clinical setting ensuring high-quality diagnostic results and patient-centered care.
This role requires a professional who is comfortable working independently managing a steady imaging workload and maintaining accuracy and safety in all procedures.
Schedule
Shift: 4x10-Hour Days (09:30 AM 08:00 PM)
Days: Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday
Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed
Start Date: Approximately 3 weeks after contract signing
Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent MRI Tech experience
Certifications:
ARMRIT or ARRT (MR)
AHA BLS (required)
Equipment Experience: Proficiency with GE MRI Systems (GEMS)
Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
Scrub Color: Hunter Green
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality MRI scans according to physician orders and established protocols
Operate MRI equipment (GE systems preferred) safely and efficiently
Ensure accurate patient identification preparation and positioning for each procedure
Adhere to MRI safety standards and maintain compliance with all facility guidelines
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to provide optimal diagnostic outcomes
Monitor patients during procedures to ensure comfort and safety
Maintain cleanliness calibration and readiness of MRI equipment and exam rooms
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited MRI Technology program
Current certification through ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Experience with GE MRI systems strongly preferred
Strong interpersonal organizational and patient-care skills
