Job Summary
Martinus is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support us on the Inland Rail Albury to Parkes Project. This position will be site-based and will suit someone local to Albury region or open to working on a FIFO arrangement.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide day-to-day environmental support to internal stakeholders.
- Plan and oversee environmental monitoring programs associated with cultural heritage water waste noise and air.
- Conduct required site inspections and audits.
- Provide interpretation of results and regular progress reports against environment and sustainability performance targets
- Collaborate with construction teams on environmental management requirements to ensure that we meet our obligations and improve performance.
- Support the environmental systems needs of the business including implementation regular reviews and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the management of environmental issues including incident investigations.
- Maintain ISO14001 Accreditation requirements.
- Implement the Projects sustainability strategies including the Sustainability Management Plan
- Submit permits and approvals as required.
- Collection of data and analysis of subcontractor and supplier sustainability performance
- Promote compliance in project environment and sustainability matters delivery of training toolboxes and awareness programs.
- Develop strong relationships with clients councils regulators and other community stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant Bachelors Degree
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Advanced computer skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
