What You Will Do

Pratt & Whitney Auto Air (PWAA) has multiple sites across Lansing and Holt MI. PWAA is looking for a manufacturing engineer to assist in day-to-day operations focused on lean values automation continuous improvement and root cause corrective action. Typical duties include troubleshooting equipment analyzing data writing work instructions and supporting investigation. PWAA strives to be best in class and a center of excellence in airfoils and composite bonding.

Works with ME to plan sequences of operations to estimate time required and learns how to write process sheets and bill of materials.
Works with Engineering to understand part drawings and other engineering data necessary to define the fabrication and manufacturing methods and processes.
Consults with design or projects engineering to determine the suitability or producibility of molds fixtures or parts.

Qualifications You Must Have

Enrolled in a degree program studying Manufacturing Engineering Computer Science Metallurgy Material Science or related field.

Qualifications We Prefer

Minimum GPA of 3.0
Basic knowledge of drawings and 3D models
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles experience with Kaisen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (ACE 6s etc.).

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
