A thriving secondary school in Colchester is looking to appoint a Design & Technology Technician to support their busy DT department from January. The role would suit a practically skilled individual with an interest in workshop tools materials and hands-on support.
As a DT Technician you will assist with preparing practical materials maintaining workshop equipment organising stock and supporting safe structured lessons. The workshop is equipped with:
Laser cutters
3D printers
Stationary power tools
CAD/CAM software
Resistant materials and design resources
You will work closely with the Head of Department and classroom teachers to ensure lessons run smoothly and that students have the resources and environment necessary to produce high-quality project work.
