Duties & Responsibilities
Our client is a respected organisation with a strong regional presence seeking a driven Bookkeeper to join their finance team at the Sandton Regional Office. This role offers exposure across four branches and requires a proactive individual who enjoys variety travel and hands-on involvement in the day-to-day financial function.
Youll be responsible for ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately reconciliations are completed on time and internal controls are adhered to. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior finance professionals and gain experience in a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Process monthly journals and ensure accurate ledger entries.
Conduct branch audits and attend stock takes (occasional travel to JHB branches 12 times per month).
Maintain fixed asset and rental asset registers.
Process asset transfers disposals and monthly scrapping of assets.
Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly reconciliation files and perform GL reconciliations.
Review and sign off monthly creditor reconciliations for payment.
Assist the accountant and financial managers with ad hoc financial tasks and projects.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education: Matric (Grade 12) minimum; a bookkeeping or finance qualification will be advantageous.
Experience: 3 years experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role.
Systems: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
Skills: Excellent attention to detail strong reconciliation and organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across branches.
