Overview
Great Basin Staffing is seeking a skilled Drywall Estimator & Crew Lead for upcoming commercial and tenant improvement projects in the PortlandVancouver area.
This is a hybrid role combining hands-on field leadership with estimating responsibilities ideal for someone who can both lead crews and take ownership of bid preparation and project execution.
Compensation Structure
This position offers a hybrid pay model:
Labor Pay for on-site work.
Percentage of Bid Value earned on completed or awarded projects.
This setup rewards both craftsmanship and project success giving you direct earning potential tied to performance and project profitability.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate takeoffs and cost estimates for drywall framing taping and finishing.
Lead and coordinate drywall and finish crews on active projects.
Oversee scheduling material coordination and field quality control.
Communicate effectively with clients general contractors and project managers.
Ensure safety productivity and jobsite cleanliness.
Conduct walkthroughs and verify project readiness for each phase.
Requirements
5 years of drywall or interior construction experience (framing hanging finishing).
Previous experience in estimating takeoffs or bid preparation preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read drawings and project specifications.
Reliable transportation and basic hand tools/PPE.
Must pass standard onboarding and drug screening.
