Department: Best Choice Program Corporate Offices
Duration: 11/24/2025 02/21/2026 (13-week contract with potential to convert to full-time)
Schedule: Monday Friday 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)

Position Summary:

We are seeking detail-oriented and organized Nursing Staffing Schedulers to join our team in Detroit this role you will coordinate daily staffing for nursing units ensuring adequate coverage by communicating with central staffing RNs and float pool nurses. You will manage scheduling systems assist with staffing adjustments and maintain accurate records across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and adjust staffing needs on a shift-by-shift basis.
  • Coordinate with central staffing RNs to fill scheduling gaps efficiently.
  • Maintain and update staff schedules in UKG Dimensions (Kronos) and Einstein systems.
  • Record call-ins overtime and staffing changes to ensure accurate data tracking.
  • Contact float pool or SRP personnel to cover open shifts as needed.
  • Prepare analyze and distribute staffing reports in a timely manner.
  • Provide administrative support within the staffing office including handling calls and logging schedule updates.
  • Maintain accurate personnel data and assist with staffing budget reviews.
  • Attend team meetings training sessions and educational programs as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Henry Ford Healths standards for service excellence and professionalism.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of related staffing scheduling or healthcare business experience.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience using UKG Dimensions (Kronos) and Einstein systems (required).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
    • Strong data entry and reporting skills.
  • Other Skills:
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Basic understanding of nursing roles and staffing patterns preferred.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience using automated staffing and scheduling software.
  • Previous experience supporting nursing or clinical departments.
