Job Description:

Our team at the client is looking for an experienced technical writer to join our design system team to help shape the future of our crew experience.
Youll join a tight-knit collaborative UX team that cares deeply about creating useful intuitive experiences.
Youll work with team members across design engineering product research and content to build a world-class user experience and help translate complex design and technical concepts as we push toward a bold vision for our enterprise-wide design system.

As a UX Technical Writer you will:

Embed with a cross-functional team to write technical documentation within the Constellation design systems advise and templatize outputs like doc pages in Storybook and help make complex technical topics easier to communicate
Audit and curate content across the system to create more inclusive accurate and unified experiences
Write clear and concise content in close collaboration with design and engineering (including labels navigational elements interface language accessibility content detailed UX guidelines around visual style component behaviors and editorial advice) for an audience of primarily designers and developers and secondary writers content strategists and product owners
Work to evolve our brand voice and tone content and UX guidelines as part of the design system in partnership with UX writer
Have the ability to keep our docs informative without being too verbose
Conduct editorial reviews for grammar spelling and structure
Participate in agile ceremonies design critiques workshops and research interviews as needed to better understand audience needs
Work with team to drive a continual cycle of design system iteration and improvements

Qualifications:

2 years in a technical writing role. If you have other writing or UX experience that you think translates to this role well wed love to see your stuff.
Design system experience.
Understand the design systems space and translate content within the space.
UX knows what needs to get done and has the expertise to create draft docs this role would help support those endeavors.
Devs know what needs to get done but rarely creates draft docs this role would create draft docs for review with devs.
Experience working on digital products.
This role sits within the user experience design organization so a foundational knowledge of what goes into product design is key.

Specializations thatll make an impact:

Content strategy experience.
While the focus of this role will be on content creation for the design system there will be opportunities to solve business and user experience problems with content strategy.
A basic understanding of Content Strategy principles and tools will be helpful.
A collaborative approach.
Youre a great partner to other writers designers and your cross-functional teammates and have the ability to iterate quickly in a highly collaborative fast-paced agile environment with multiple stakeholders with strong project planning time management collaboration and presentation skills.
A versatile and an adaptive learner who can produce quickly
