Job Summary

DEFINITION OF POSITION: Lead the Pokémon Club at Lincoln Middle School

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Building Assistant Principal

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Successful experience working with middle school age students

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

BA degree in Education
Experience with and/or an appreciation of diverse student populations
Current building employee

ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED ACTIVITIES:

Work effectively with middle school students
Work effectively with LMS staff
Take initiative in creating opportunities for students in Pokémon Club
Assist club members in learning to play the game and work well with other club members
Create an inviting environment for students to explore Pokémon
Work positively respectfully and consistently with students
Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with Pokémon Club students
Supervise students during club events
Possess and practice strong interpersonal skills with a wide variety of people both inside and outside the organization (i.e. staff parents community members other agencies etc.)
Be a positive team builder who works in a collaborative manner
Meet multiple demands in pressure situations and maintain high levels of quality work
Maintain confidentiality
Communicate clearly both orally and in writing
Regularly demonstrate professionalism in appearance actions decisions and overall performance
Work with minimal supervision and be flexible
Perform other related duties as assigned

TERMS OF CONTRACT:

Salary: Stipend Position: $766 - $856 per school year
