DEFINITION OF POSITION: Lead the Pokémon Club at Lincoln Middle School
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Building Assistant Principal
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful experience working with middle school age students
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA degree in Education
- Experience with and/or an appreciation of diverse student populations
- Current building employee
ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED ACTIVITIES:
- Work effectively with middle school students
- Work effectively with LMS staff
- Take initiative in creating opportunities for students in Pokémon Club
- Assist club members in learning to play the game and work well with other club members
- Create an inviting environment for students to explore Pokémon
- Work positively respectfully and consistently with students
- Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with Pokémon Club students
- Supervise students during club events
- Possess and practice strong interpersonal skills with a wide variety of people both inside and outside the organization (i.e. staff parents community members other agencies etc.)
- Be a positive team builder who works in a collaborative manner
- Meet multiple demands in pressure situations and maintain high levels of quality work
- Maintain confidentiality
- Communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- Regularly demonstrate professionalism in appearance actions decisions and overall performance
- Work with minimal supervision and be flexible
- Perform other related duties as assigned
TERMS OF CONTRACT:
- Salary: Stipend Position: $766 - $856 per school year
