Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager to support STL Paint Operations in Berkeley Missouri.

The Paint Operations Senior Manager will lead an innovative and high-performing team overseeing the strategic planning execution and quality assurance of paint operations tailored for Boeing St. Louis Region (Saint Louis St. Charles and Mascoutah). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of aerospace coatings and have a proven track record of driving operational efficiencies.

Position Responsibilities:

Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities in multiple paint manufacturing areas

Develops and executes integrated departmental plans policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies goals and objectives

Acquires resources provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports

Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes

Oversight and Ownership to Zero injury and First Time Quality culture

Manages develops and motivates employees and first-level managers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5 years experience Painting Experience in one or more of the following specialties: Aerospace or Automotive Paint Application Paints & Coatings Inorganic Chemical Processes Environmental Health and Safety or Sealants

3 years formal leadership experience

3 years experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelors Degree or higher in relevant field

Lean Six Sigma experience

This position requires travel up to 10% of the time
