Reality Check This Job Isnt Easy

Restoration work can be demanding.

What Youll Do

Respond to homes and businesses affected by water fire or storm damage
Perform water extraction demolition and cleanup
Set up and monitor drying equipment
Clean and restore damaged structures and contents
Document work and communicate with team members
Maintain equipment tools and vehicles

Hands-on field training

Continued field experience
Increased responsibility on job sites
Developing the ability to perform restoration tasks independently

Most technicians reach full proficiency around the 90-day mark after working on multiple job types.

What a Typical Week Looks Like

Every week is different because emergencies dont follow a schedule.

A typical week may include:

Responding to water fire or storm damage jobs
Extracting water and removing damaged materials
Setting up drying equipment and monitoring progress
Cleaning and restoring structures
Training with experienced technicians
Participating in an on-call rotation for emergency response

Overtime may occur when larger restoration projects or emergency calls require additional work hours.

Requirements

Valid drivers license
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Willingness to work on-call shifts including nights weekends and holidays
Ability to work overtime when needed

Physical Requirements

Lift 50 pounds regularly (up to 100 pounds with assistance)
Work in crawl spaces attics and other confined areas
Climb ladders and work at heights
Perform repetitive lifting carrying pushing and pulling
Work in indoor and outdoor environments
