POSITION TITLE: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I
DEPARTMENT: MAINTENANCE
REPORTS TO: MAINTENANCE MANAGER

JOB FUNCTION:
Executes the assigned duties as necessary to support technical issues required to resolve machinery maintenance and other requirements.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 Involved in application issues and supports the department with technical related skills.
2 Reports to management observed technical issues and problems experienced and perceived action required to resolve these matters.
3 Must have an good knowledge of industrial maintenance.
4 Must have moderate mechanical background or moderate electrical/electronics background to include PLCs.
5 Must have a good understanding of the processes.
6 Must understand and support the predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
7 Demonstrate good problem-solving skills and at all times promote safety and quality.
8 Must have a good understanding of plant utilities.
9 Maintain hand tools and use them properly.
10 Must demonstrate basic trouble-shooting skills.
EDUCATION:
High school education required. Prefer 2 years of technical education in an engineering-related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Entry level - 2 years experience in industrial maintenance.
SUPERVISION:
Moderate supervision received. No supervisory responsibility.
