Commercial Underwriter
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Underwriter to join a team. This role involves managing a significant portfolio of large commercial accounts evaluating risks and collaborating with internal teams to ensure the successful renewal and quoting of business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial property underwriting and a desire to grow into a leadership role within the organization.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $80000 - $110000 (depending on experience)
- Competitive benefits package 401(k) paid time off professional development opportunities etc.
Responsibilities
- Manage a book of business consisting of 250-350 large commercial accounts
- Evaluate and assess risks for renewals and new business opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective account management
- Work with accounts in industries such as school districts municipalities and public entities
- Provide quotes for new and renewal business as required
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial property underwriting preferred
- Experience with large commercial accounts and public entities is preferred but not required
- Strong analytical and risk evaluation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- A desire to grow into a leadership role within the organization
