We are hiring an Staff Nurse-Medical/Surgical Ward for our Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities
- The primary role of the Staff Nurse is to provide pre- peri- and post-procedure nursing care and ensure effective management of patient care within the Unit.
- Responsible for the management treatment and support of elective patients ensuring the highest standards of clinical care.
- Develop and document individualised care plans based on patient needs and evidence-based best practices.
- Deliver safe accurate and comprehensive nursing care with minimal supervision and in a timely manner.
- Participate actively in quality assurance infection prevention and control initiatives to maintain patient safety and service excellence.
- Promote the safety health welfare and social wellbeing of patients while respecting their dignity privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Ensure patient records are maintained protected and managed in line with hospital policy and legal requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless and efficient service delivery.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with all members of the healthcare team to support coordinated patient care.
- Work within the scope of the NMBI and adhere to hospital policies procedures and standards while demonstrating flexibility to assist in other hospital areas as required.
Requirements
- Registered in the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Demonstrates evidence of ongoing personal and professional development.
- Minimum of two years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting as a Staff Nurse.
