Pediatric Cardiologist (MDDO)

Inova LJ Murphy Childrens Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiologist to support our rapidly growing team within Inova Childrens Heart Center. This position would be supporting our large outpatient ambulatory Inova Childrens Cardiology care at Inova LJ Murphy Childrens Hospital in Fairfax Virginia.

Inova LJ Murphy Childrens Hospital is a 226-bed childrens hospital at Inova Fairfax Hospital medical campus located in Northern Virginia. Pediatric Cardiologist Job Responsibilities:

• The Division of Pediatric Cardiology includes 20 board-certified pediatric cardiologists and 5 advanced practice providers.
• Inova Childrens Heart Center is a comprehensive team including congenital cardiac surgery outpatient cardiology fetal cardiology non-invasive cardiology adult congenital cardiology fetal cardiology diagnostic and interventional catheterization and electrophysiology.
• Responsibilities include outpatient general pediatric cardiology and inpatient service including Cardiology Ward/Consult service and/or Cardiology Stepdown team.
• Flexibility strong communication and collaborative skills are key.
• This position will work with the Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and the leadership of the Inova Childrens Heart Center to execute yearly personal and programmatic goals focused on the fundamentals of extraordinary care: Safety quality patient experiences access and stewardship.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution. Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Cardiology.
• Experience: successful completion of Pediatric residency program.
• Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start ACLS PALS (when appropriate)
• Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
• Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
