Overview:
The Clerical Assistant provides administrative and office support to ensure efficient operation of the workplace. This role involves handling routine clerical tasks such as data entry filing correspondence and scheduling. The Clerical Assistant supports managers staff and clients through effective communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general office duties including filing photocopying scanning and mailing.
Answer phone calls respond to inquiries and direct calls or messages to appropriate staff.
Maintain and update electronic and paper records ensuring information is accurate and accessible.
Assist in preparing and editing documents reports and correspondence.
Schedule and coordinate meetings appointments and travel arrangements.
Order and maintain office supplies and inventory.
Receive sort and distribute incoming mail and packages.
Provide support for data entry database management and record keeping.
Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks such as processing invoices or expense forms (if applicable).
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred).
Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint) and general office equipment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
