Job Title: Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: Fort Myers FL
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Full-Time 12-Hour Shifts Day or Night Available

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for a 19-bed unit in Fort Myers FL. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills the ability to handle high-acuity patients and thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care during all phases of labor delivery and recovery.
Monitor assess and document maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring.
Manage complex high-acuity cases while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Administer medications including epidurals and oxytocin as ordered.
Assist physicians during labor delivery and emergency procedures (e.g. C-sections).
Educate and support mothers and families throughout the birthing process.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Float to other units or sister campuses as needed.
Requirements
Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (required).
2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (required).
Prior travel nursing experience (required).
Certifications:
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (required)
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring or EFM certification (preferred)
Degree accreditation required if not available must have minimum 5 years of experience.
Must be able to work in a high-acuity L&D environment with 1:1 or 1:2 ratios.

Scrub Colors: Galaxy Blue and/or White
Additional Details
Call Requirement: 12 hours per 6-week schedule period.
Floating: Required travelers float first to similar units or sister campuses.
Culture: Team-oriented environment; travelers are treated as core staff.
All RTO or schedule requests must be declared at submission.
