Position Type: Full-Time Salaried

Location: Baltimore MD (onsite)

Compensation: $90000

Primary Function(s):

  • Primary Function(s):

    • Attends work regularly according to assigned work schedule and in accordance with agency
    • Works cooperatively with others including all staff supervisors administrators co -workers
      individuals served community professionals customers vendors and the public.
    • Complies with the MD State Board of Nursing Practice Act.
    • Completes a nursing ELP and establishes goals and objectives to address and meet the health
      care needs of each individual served upon admission and updated as needed.
    • Monitors the health status of each individual served every 30 days in accordance with the
      standards of DBHDS.
    • Within any Chimes Maryland contracted program assumes responsibility for screening program
      participants rendering treatment and determining the need for follow -up care.
    • Checks physician orders against MAR.
    • Provides hospitalization follow -up and post -hospitalization assessments staff education and
      care plan revision if warranted. Ensures follow -up is completed.
    • Provides ongoing staff training as it relates to nursing/medical issues.
    • Maintains required certifications that are necessary for compliance with training requirements.
    • Administers the provision of medical and nursing services which are outside the scope of
      unlicensed staff or deemed inappropriate to be delegated to unlicensed personnel.
    • Serves as a medical liaison when necessary.
    • Coordinates medical care and appointments for individuals served through the appropriate
      health care facility.
    • Assumes on call responsibilities.
    • Responds to emergencies.
    • Participates as a member of each individuals served interdisciplinary term and attend all required meetings.
    • Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA of all individuals served and promotes each
      individuals rights at all times.
    • Contributes to a work atmosphere in a manner which is positive enthusiastic respectful and
    • Is a positive role model for individuals served and Agency staff.
    • Uses technology for the completion of specified job duties.
    • Provides back up coverage for other nursing personnel within the Agency when needed.
    • Reviews and monitors medications in order to ensure that an adequate supply of all prescribed
      drugs is available.
    • Maintains all records in accordance with established protocols.
    • Receives and reviews input from staff regarding the health needs of the program participants.
    • Provides emergency on -site treatment and triage for both day and residential program consumers.
    • Assumes other duties responsibilities and special projects as needed.

    Secondary Function(s)

    • Schedules all routine appointment.

  • REQUIREMENTS

    Education: Graduation from an approved nurse training program and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland.

    Experience: At least Two years of experience required preferable with ambulatory services for persons with cognitive disabilities. Ability to lift over 50lbs. Must have valid CPR/FA
