Description

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Source negotiate and purchase materials tools and supplies in alignment with project schedules and budget requirements.

Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.

Track purchase orders and ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.

Oversee the organization cleanliness and safety of the laydown yard.

Coordinate material staging and storage to optimize space and accessibility.

Implement inventory control systems to track incoming and outgoing materials.

Schedule and coordinate deliveries to various buildings and job sites.

Communicate with site supervisors and project managers to align delivery timing with construction needs.

Resolve delivery issues and discrepancies promptly.

Supervise procurement and laydown yard staff including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.

Provide training and support to ensure adherence to safety and operational procedures.

Maintain accurate records of purchases deliveries and inventory levels.

Generate regular reports on procurement activities cost savings and vendor performance.

Ensures compliance with safety and security protocols established by the company clients and regulatory authorities.

Maintains a safe and secure work environment while promoting employee development through training and growth opportunities.

Contributes to departmental success by performing other essential duties as assigned.

Shift: 1st shift including weekends

QUALIFICATIONS

Posses strong listening skills communicate efficiently and apply them effectively in all interactions.

Bilingual required (English Spanish)

Ability to train manage and develop a team

High energy level with strong commitment to service quality

Proven experience in procurement supply chain or construction logistics (3 years preferred).

Familiarity with construction materials and site operations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Valid drivers license and ability to travel between sites as needed.

Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends if needed

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and procedure manuals and handbooks

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Outlook Word) and general computer proficiency.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to walk and stand for extended periods (up to 810 hours per shift).

Ability to climb and descend stairs multiple times per day without assistance.

Ability to lift carry push or pull up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds with proper technique.

Ability to bend kneel reach and work in confined or awkward spaces as needed.

Ability to maintain alertness and mobility while performing rounds or inspection walks throughout large facility areas.

Must be able to perform moderate physical activity continuously in indoor and semi-industrial environments (including variable temperatures).

Must have excellent vision hearing and coordination to monitor entry points operate access equipment and maintain awareness of surrounding safety conditions.

Wear protective gear or respiratory equipment when required.

DRIVING CONDITIONS

To operate a vehicle at the customers site employees must obtain an ABM drivers permit per the ABM Drivers Safety MVR registration program. This policy checks for a valid State ID along with a citation background check and those with high-risk driving habits will need additional driver education in order to obtain the permit. Employees who operate company vehicles must consistently meet the requirements of the Facility Vehicle Safety Program.
