Job Overview

This role is category-based and will report to the Nordics Cluster Category Leadership Head.

This associate will play a critical role in providing fact and insight-based solutions that drive impulse categories for our retail partners and Mars Wrigley at the Front End of stores the Transaction Zone. This individual will serve as the strategic lead for transaction zone strategy and the execution of projects with our priority customers leading to the design of scalable solutions. This role will work closely with internal and external partners such as Mars Wrigley Category strategist & Perfect Store team customer category managers display & equipment manager and sales teams to engage retailers from sales and retail directors to category managers to store operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create build and deploy the Transaction Zone roadmap for Nordics maximizing shopper convenience operational efficiency and sales conversion for category and Mars Wrigley

  • Lead end-to-end Transaction Zone project from design to in-store execution and analysis collaborating with sales and display & equipment manager

  • Own customer sell-in and steps to engage with customers on Transaction Zone design projects to execute positioning Mars Wrigley as the best-in-class partner for Transaction Zone design

  • The associate must be able to work collaboratively with regional partners in Transaction Zone leadership to adopt and adapt principles and learnings from one retailer to another. Projects with customers will often require managing the confidentiality of internal customer data; discretion is critical.

  • High knowledge of Transaction Zone technology footfall hardware solutions shopping behavior store operations retail design and other knowledge domains required to support and cultivate culture and share insights in the organization to contribute to Mars Wrigley Transaction Zone leadership in the industry

  • This role should enable codification of insights to provide direction for scalable solutions fuelling collaboration with category leadership to refresh the Transaction Zone picture of success and support sell-in.

  • This is a customer-facing role with regular face-to-face interactions with the retailer

  • This role is a technical leader requiring a significant amount of time to balance strategic agility with analytics skills to adopt a robust insights and fact-based approach

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree required Masters Degree or MBA will be considered as an asset

  • 5 years of experience in Category Management Sales Leadership Retail Leadership or Consulting with previous experience in analytics account management and category leadership

  • Experience with In-Store Strategies and Tactics Shopper Understanding and Category Leadership Expertise

  • Strong communication collaboration and presentation skills

  • Ability to manage cross-functional/multi-task projects

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to be at the retailers headquarters and in retailers stores

  • Experience working with syndicated data software (Nielsen Kauza)

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel and PowerPoint
