Job Summary

Job Title: HSE Specialist Site

Location: Mintia Deva Hunedoara Romania CCGT Gas plant
Company: a leading global Operations & Maintenance company specializing in energy production facilities with expertise in the oil gas and power sectors.
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent/ On site

Role Overview

The HSE Specialist will be responsible for implementing monitoring and continuously improving Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards on-site to ensure compliance with both local regulations and company policies. The role supports the operational teams in maintaining a safe working environment and fostering a strong safety culture across all activities.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and maintain site-specific HSE programs procedures and initiatives.
Monitor daily site operations to ensure compliance with HSE regulations standards and best practices.
Conduct regular safety inspections audits and risk assessments; identify and mitigate hazards.
Provide HSE training coaching and guidance to site personnel and contractors.
Lead incident investigations prepare reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Maintain HSE documentation and reporting systems in line with company and legal requirements.
Collaborate with local authorities contractors and management teams to promote safety and environmental awareness.
Support emergency preparedness and response planning on site.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors degree in Engineering Environmental Science or a related technical field.
Minimum 35 years of experience in HSE roles within the energy oil & gas or industrial sectors (preferably in Operations & Maintenance or power generation).
Strong knowledge of Romanian and EU HSE legislation and standards.
Proven experience in risk assessment incident investigation and safety audits.
Certifications such as NEBOSH ISO 45001 or similar are considered an advantage.

Proficiency in English (written and spoken); Romanian fluency required.
Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
