Job Summary


SERV a well-established leader in behavioral healthcare in New Jersey supports people with mental illness and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities as they achieve greater independence and life satisfaction through a wide range of services.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Regional Director is responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative operations for an assigned service region of program(s) licensed by the New Jersey Department of Human Services - Division of Developmental Disabilities or Department of Children and Families. The Regional Director will supervise coordinate and implement SERVs treatment programs in the assigned region. The Regional Director will cooperate with the licensee and Department of Human Services staff in any inspection inquiry or investigation and will perform all other duties as deemed appropriate by the supervisor. The Regional Director will cooperate with SERV and the Office of Licensing in any investigation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in developing monitoring and managing regional program budgets including staffing overtime control and resource allocation; ensures revenue and expenses meet contractual requirements and are consistently maintained within budget;
  • Drives efficiencies in operations and budgets monitors overtime and controls costs;
  • Responsible for day-to-day supervision of regional staff; provides leadership support and direction to management and clinical staff; promotes a working environment that supports open communication innovation and collaboration;
  • Conducts individual and group meetings to promote teamwork and accountability; oversees the processes for performance management and corrective action;
  • Ensures region-wide compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures including Training and Timekeeping/Payroll responsibilities;
  • Supports the hiring process for new staff; participates actively in efforts to attract and recruit highly qualified candidates to build high-performing teams;
  • By conducting regular visits random inspections and audits ensures programs remain in compliance with licensing accreditation and contract standards including DCF DHS DDD and CSOC as applicable;
  • Leads or facilitates licensing reviews program audits corrective action plans and incident management follow-up for assigned region;
  • Completes all required compliance reporting in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Collaborates with Access to Care department to ensure timely client admissions and meet occupancy goals;
  • Ensures clients maintain Medicaid/Medicare eligibility and funding under the fee for service system.
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with external partners including case managers support coordinators families schools law enforcement local governments and state oversight entities; builds strong community relationships;
  • Supports the development of new programs in assigned regions; provides assistance to the grant writing process;
  • Works collaboratively with internal support departments to implement policies and procedures and ensure effective operation of assigned programs;
  • Embodies SERVs core values while providing support and guidance to staff clients families and external stakeholders; sets the example for high standards of moral and ethical conduct.
  • Other duties as assigned or as needed to support departmental or organizational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate.
  • Ability to respond with flexibility and efficiency to frequent changes in task focus competing priorities and multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build credibility and trust in interpersonal relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to operate a vehicle to transport clients.
  • Able to lift ten pounds.
  • Able to bend crouch stoop kneel and reach.
  • Able to stand/walk four to six hours per shift.
  • Able to work at least an eight-hour day including flexible hours and on-call responsibilities.
  • Able to work with diverse populations and individuals with cognitive/intellectual disabilities.
  • Able to assist clients with personal care such as toileting showering dressing etc. if needed.
  • Proficiency in the use of electronic health record systems (EHRs) preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and the utilization of Microsoft Office products required.
  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate information and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to travel between regional program sites as needed.
REQUIRED LICENSES/EXPERIENCE:
  • Masters degree in behavioral health discipline from an accredited school.
  • Clinical license (ex: BCBA LCSW LSW etc.) preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years experience in behavioral health developmental disabilities or human services with at least five years of progressive supervisory/administrative experience in residential settings supporting individuals who have IDD and behavioral challenges.
  • Experience in a multi-site setting is strongly preferred.
  • Valid drivers license issued in the state of residence and a clean driving record.
SALARY:
  • $99042.72 per year.
