Job Summary
LINE COOK
Stonebridge Country Club has an immediate opening for a professional Line Cook who can assist in food prep. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating meal portions cooking broiling grilling searing seasoning and keeping a sanitized work area. We are seeking an individual who has experience in the food service industry and is committed to impeccable food presentation and garnishing. The position is a seasonal one working more hours in the winter months and less hours in the summer months.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing basic components of each dish on our menu
- Broiler experience searing seasoning and cooking meats to the proper temperature
- Working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy in production and presentation are essential
- Memorizing and utilizing our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures
- Ensuring that the kitchen and food prep areas are always sanitary and fully functional
- Working with team to do portion prep work when needed
- Monitor freshness of all products
Requirements:
- Strong culinary skills including an employment history which includes a minimum of two years in a comparable commercial kitchen performing comparable work
- Current food safety certification
- Able to stand for eight hours or more per day
- High level of professionalism
- Able to work day or evening shifts including nights and weekends
- Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to lift at least 40 pounds on a regular basis
