The ideal candidate will be a rising or established leader with demonstrated potential for high-impact research demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring appropriate to career stage and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from Environmental Engineering and throughout the USF campuses. Appointment of the selected candidate will be made at a rank commensurate with the candidates experience and qualifications. We seek candidates with research expertise in any area of Environmental Engineering that complements existing faculty within the Department whether by building on strengths already present or by opening opportunities for new lines of collaborative research. Hiring selection will be based principally on the potential of the candidate to contribute significantly to the missions of the Department the College of Engineering and the University rather than on the candidates particular rank or research specialty. • Earned doctoral degree in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering or a closely related field
• Must meet University criteria for appointment at the appropriate rank (Assistant Professor Associate Professor or Professor)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated academic and/or professional expertise in an appropriate area of Environmental Engineering
• Demonstrated record of publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals on topics related to Environmental Engineering
• Demonstrated record of or demonstrated potential for attracting external funding to support a research program
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
• Experience in university teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality classroom teaching and/or engineering pedagogy
• Activity in and/or leadership roles in professional societies relevant to Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering or other area relevant to the candidates area of professional expertise
• Professional licensure in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering or the potential to become professionally licensed
• Board certification from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers & Scientists (AAEES) or the potential to become board-certified
