Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Everett WA 98204
Contract Duration: 4 Months
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to support bi-weekly payroll processing for a large and diverse workforce. This role focuses on accurate timekeeping data entry reconciliation of payroll reports and providing excellent employee support. The ideal candidate is organized dependable and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll exception entries and verify documentation accuracy.
- Maintain and audit payroll and timekeeping records.
- Respond to payroll questions from employees and departments.
- Reconcile payroll deductions and assist with vendor payments.
- Support leave-related pay calculations including FMLA and workers compensation.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of payroll experience required.
- Strong proficiency using payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of FMLA/FLSA and payroll compliance.
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Preferred:
- Experience with PeopleSoft UKG/Kronos or Trapeze.
