We are hiring for a Forklift Operator to join our growing team! This position is eligible for a quarterly production & monthly Attendance bonuses!
The Forklift Operator is responsible for coordinating organizing and inventory management of raw materials and finished goods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities including the following:
- Demonstrate personal safety and help maintain a safe work environment for themselves and fellow members of the Midtown team. Responsible for following all company safety rules and guidelines.
- Ensure quality standards and workmanship standards for Sellars products are met on a continuing basis.
- Understand and fully comply with the Sellars concept of move to the work. This means ensuring all tasks required to operate efficiently.
- Promote and support the Good Warehouse Management Practices.
- Ensure inventory accuracy of Roll Goods.
- Prepare organize and maintain all Logistics paperwork.
- Maintain organize and coordinate the movement (using FIFO methods if possible).
- Complete and verify all documentation and forms (receipt inventory or shipment related) are accurate.
- Keep the warehouse clean organized and efficiently maintained.
- Load and unload trailers trucks and containers in a safe and efficient manner..
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of the workings of Sellars Distribution Center.
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills dealing with issues in a positive complete manner.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills. Demonstrated capability to function within a team setting
- Flexibility in work assignments and overtime hours.
- Ability to exercise professionalism courtesy and tact in dealing with all members of the Sellars organization and external resources.
- Ability to read and interpret all documents used in the Distribution Center.
- Positive work attitude.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse/Distribution Center is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in material handling required.
