Job Summary
Position Description:
CGI is seeking a SAP MM Functional Analyst with expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) Data Governance and Data this role you will ensure the accuracy and reliability of material master data within SAP supporting analytics and business operations. Working closely with business and IT teams you will define governance standards resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement in data management practices.
Responsibilities
- Configure and manage SAP MM Material Master data and related processes to support enterprise data quality objectives.
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define and maintain data standards business rules and approval workflows.
- Execute root cause analysis and develop remediation plans to improve data integrity and reliability.
- Support the deployment and continuous improvement of Master Data Management processes across the data lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with CGIs data governance framework and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Perform data profiling and validation using SQL to monitor and improve data accuracy.
- Document data mappings business rules and transformation logic to support traceability and transparency.
- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to optimize data use for reporting and decision-making.
- Participate in testing training and change management activities related to data processes and systems.
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement around data ownership and quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems Data Management or a related field.
- 4 years of experience working with SAP MM (Material Management) in functional or data-focused roles.
- Hands-on experience with Master Data Management (MDM) practices including process design data standards and quality metrics.
- Strong understanding of Data Governance principles and implementation within enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis validation and issue resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis for complex data and process issues.
- Familiarity with data quality tools or frameworks (e.g. Collibra Informatica or equivalent).
- Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA modules and cross-functional data integration (SCM Ariba etc.).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Understanding of manufacturing or supply chain business processes.
- Experience working in Agile or cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication documentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
