Connaught Elementary
Connaught Elementary is a Pre-K to grade 3 school where inclusion matters and the needs of students are at the centre of everything. We are a tight-knit place with a great deal of community spirit. Summary of Position
This is a temporary full time School Liaison position commencing January 5 2026 with a contract end date of June 30 2026. Position hours arefrom 8:00 am to 4:15 pm Monday to Friday. As a School Liaison Worker you will be responsible for building genuine relationships with students/families and community partners and advocating for those who experience barriers to success in school.
Accountabilities
- Enhance relationships between school and home to meet student needs including home visits
- Provide support to students who are experiencing social emotional and/or behavioural dysregulation
- Enhance connections to Indigenous and/or multicultural communities.
- Assist in the development and/or implementation of preventative programs and activities for individuals and groups
- Build relationships and provide necessary connections with partner organizations to help families access needed resources and/or services
Qualifications
- Preference will be given to a candidate with post-secondary training in Social Services Human Services Psychology or Sociology
- Equivalent training and experience will be considered
- The ability to offer life skills social skills and anger management programming would be an asset
- Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract with access to a reliable vehicle
