The Job.
- Join an enterprise-scale redesign programme in financial services. Youll help lead a product reskin across mobile and web applying an existing design system with rigour raising UI quality and partnering closely with engineering to ship fast without breaking consistency.
- Own UI execution for priority journeys and workflows (mobile first then desktop) aligned to an established design system.
- Build adapt and maintain Figma libraries: variables/tokens component properties variants responsive behaviours states.
- Translate audits and requirements into clear specs tickets and acceptance criteria; help prioritise the design backlog.
- Produce production-ready screens with strong craft (forms tables filters edge/error/empty/loading states).
- Write pragmatic guidelines and redlines to support implementation and UAT.
- Partner with engineering on token mapping breakpoints interaction patterns support QA to reduce rework.
- Champion accessibility intent (WCAG 2.2 AA considerations) and localisation (Eng/TC/SC).
- Mentor designers run critiques enforce governance to manage scope and maintain consistency.
- Communicate proactively with PM/BA/Engineering and local stakeholders surface risks early.
Whats important to us

- Expert Figma: Auto Layout variables/tokens component properties variants library hygiene prototyping.
- Proven reskin/realignment experience within a live system and release cadence.
- Clear structured handover to engineers (specs annotations token mapping AC).
- Confident stakeholder facilitation constructive pushback and mentorship of mid-level designers.
- Excellent English; Cantonese fluency strongly preferred for local stakeholder interactions.
- Ability to collaborate on-site in Hong Kong and coordinate across APAC time zones.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with design-to-code pipelines (e.g. Storybook consumption; token pipelines like Style Dictionary).
- Practical accessibility know-how (focus management contrast motion sensitivity error handling).
- Experience in financial services or other regulated environments.
- Jira/Confluence literacy; comfort writing AC and grooming tickets.
Portfolio requirements
- Case study showing design-system contribution (components tokens
- documentation) that shipped to production.
- Before/after reskin examples with rationale tied to system guidelines and constraints.
- Complex UI examples (forms tables data-dense layouts edge states).
