About the Role
As Group Manager for Road & Traffic youll lead a talented team of road and civil engineers driving impactful traffic- infrastructure- and ITS projects that shape the way people move. Youll play a key role in delivering high-profile road solutions for public clients while growing AFRYs presence in Denmark as well as internationally. You will combine strategic leadership with meaningful engineering that strives to improve everyday life. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and inspire a team of skilled road/traffic engineers in close collaboration with technical leads
- Build and maintain strong client relationships especially with public clients such as municipalities
- Lead proposal work from scoping and estimating to final delivery
- Oversee complex road infrastructure projectsdelivered on time on budget and to top quality
- Manage resources and priorities across a dynamic project portfolio
- Collaborate across disciplinestraffic ITS structuresto deliver integrated solutions
- Drive business development and expand AFRYs road project footprint in Denmark and abroad
- Handle day-to-day people management including recruitment development and performance.
You will work from our office in Aarhus and Herning and be part of AFRY Road & Rail Denmark management team contributing to strategic decisions knowledge sharing and fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.
Qualifications :
Your Qualifications
We believe youll thrive in this role if you are motivated by both technical and leadership challenges and can demonstrate the following:
- A relevant technical degree (e.g. civil engineer or similar)
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience preferably in consulting or infrastructure
- Solid technical understanding of road planning and design including national and municipal standards
- Experience with public sector clients and infrastructure project delivery
- Familiarity with digital tools road design software and sustainable mobility solutions
- Strong communication skills in Danish and English both written and spoken
A collaborative quality-conscious and accountable mindset will be second nature to this role.
