Job Description: Logistics Specialist I - Clinical Trials Logistics Unit
Location: Chile Colombia Peru

We are in search of a Logistics Specialist I at Thermo Fisher Scientific to join our Clinical Trials Logistics Unit in Chile Colombia and Peru. The successful applicant will be diligent and meticulous in coordinating and managing the logistics of clinical trial materials ensuring timely and efficient delivery to various sites. This position requires strong organizational skills excellent communication abilities and a dedication to upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the dispatch and transfer of clinical trial supplies to multiple locations in Chile Colombia and Peru.
- Ensure all shipments align with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and related documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams including project managers clinical operations and quality assurance to ensure seamless logistics support.
- Communicate with external vendors and logistics providers to manage transportation and delivery schedules.
- Assist in the preparation and review of shipping documentation including customs declarations and import/export paperwork.
- Support the development and implementation of logistics processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on shipment status and logistics activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a similar field.
- At least 1-2 years of background in logistics supply chain or a relevant sector with a preference for experience in the clinical trials or pharmaceutical domain.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management abilities proficient in handling various tasks concurrently.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external collaborators.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and logistics management software.
- Diligent with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Capability to operate autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic work setting.
- Familiarity with regulatory demands and guidelines concerning the transportation of clinical trial materials is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
Working Conditions:
- This role might involve periodic trips to Chile Colombia and Peru.
- The role may involve working outside of regular business hours to accommodate shipment schedules and urgent logistics needs.
