Key Responsibilities
- Strong candidate must be able to multitask while providing excellent patient/ customer service of growing service line of pre-operative EKGs and lab draws.
- Competently performs all the duties of LST I and II.
- Loads monitors and performs maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratory pre-analytic automation system.
- Evaluates orders and sends out specimens to a variety of reference labs. Follows up on reference lab exceptions. Assists in monitoring client supply utilization.
- May perform lab testing following laboratory procedures and in compliance with CLIA regulations.
- May assist in support of the Point of Care program.
- May load and perform basic maintenance of urinalysis instrument and others.
- Full registration of patients including but not limited to entry and verification demographic information entry and verification of insurance referral collection as needed.
- Work closely with team members has onsite leader support.
Qualifications :
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Completion of an accredited program in Phlebotomy is preferred.
- Certification as a registered Phlebotomist by a nationally recognized Phlebotomy Society such as the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians is preferred.
Preferred:
- Completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant certified of a nationally recognized MA program is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years work experience as a lab support technician II.
Competency testing may be a part of your 1st 30days based on experience.
