Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to be based in Sacramento California at the heart of one of the nations most critical water infrastructure regions. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to help shape Californias water future while supporting a diverse portfolio of challenging water projects with a special emphasis on dams levees and tunnels. Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- to large-size projects.
  • Develops technical client relationships and plays a role in selling.
  • Leads discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise.
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staffs specific area of expertise.
  • Approves and signs off on work products.
  • Leader in one or more areas of technology.
  • Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on complex projects.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Active California PE License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Experience performing geotechnical engineering for Water/Wastewater and Conveyance projects.
  • Plans Specifications and Estimates package creation.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Active California GE License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
