Job Summary
Summary of Responsibility:
To provide transportation services for the residents as structured by community management.
Duties:
- Drive the community vehicles in a safe legal manner obeying all traffic laws.
- Check with the supervisor prior to beginning the first run for a quick briefing and update of the schedule for the day.
- Upon arrival at a destination the driver is to assist passengers into and out of the vehicle; then escort the resident(s) into the location of their appointment/destination.
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of the vehicles including re-fueling checking fluid levels and having the vehicles washed.
- Notify supervisor or management of any operational concern.
- Notify supervisor or management if there was any problem or occurrence involving a resident. Complete necessary report.
- Perform transportation for errands related specifically to management needs and as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Ability to read write and speak standard English; and follow written and oral instructions in standard English.
- General knowledge of basic auto mechanics and how to make simple repairs change a tire etc.
- Possess a current and valid drivers license.
- Ability to relate positively and effectively with senior residents.
- Ability to interact effectively and cohesively with staff members residents and members of the general public. Ability to work independently.
- 1-3 years of previous driving experience.
- Current and Valid Chauffeurs License (optional for some states)
- Successfully complete a C.P.R. and First Aid course and possess a current C.P.R. & First Aid certificate
