Job Summary
As an Intermediate Data Engineer at Assent youll be a key contributor to the data products team responsible for developing and maintaining Assents modern data stack. Your work will be instrumental in integrating enterprise systems constructing data pipelines and delivering actionable insights and metrics that align with Assents strategic objectives. Youll take moderate complexity data puzzles from inception to completion ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the process.
Key Requirements & Responsibilities
- Contribute to data hygiene and data stewardship best practices for Assent
- Participate in the design development and maintenance of data pipelines using Fivetran dbt Snowflake and Hightouch
- Adhere to coding standards and best practices set by the senior engineers
- Independently solve moderate complexity data puzzles through design and engineering
- Carry out reverse ETL processes to push metrics and system elements into operational systems for enhanced context
- Analyze and interpret data sets to inform business decision-making often wearing a data analyst hat to provide deeper insights and recommendations
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Sales Marketing Product Finance and Customer Success to ensure data accuracy and quality
- Support internal process improvements: automating manual processes optimizing data delivery etc.
- Assist in developing standards for data processes
- Support the creation of functional and technical documentation related to data solutions
- Support business operations to identify define and automate key metrics

Qualifications :

- Degree in a related field and 3-5 years of data engineering experience
- Good understanding of SQL Python or R and AWS
- Ability to manage moderate complexity projects effectively
- Proficiency in tools such as Fivetran dbt Snowflake Hightouch Git R Python SQL SQL Server and AWS
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect organize analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- You are meticulous when it comes to details and are comfortable making sense of large data sets
- You are open to feedback coachable and are always striving to self-improve
- Additional assets:
- experience in a data engineering team
- familiarity with agile work environments and scrum ceremonies
- business acumen and experience in aligning data initiatives with business objectives
- experience in data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
