The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Science at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a non-tenure-track instructional faculty position at the Senior Lecturer rank to start August 16 2026. The initial appointment will be for three years with the possibility of renewal conditional on performance and curricular needs.
The successful candidate will teach a combination of introductory courses (e.g. general psychology quantitative methods and/or experimental design) distribution course(s) in an area of expertise (e.g. cognitive social abnormal perception) and/or elective courses of broad interest to undergraduates. We note that ability and interest in teaching General Psychology is a particular need for the department. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to teach courses that contribute to the exciting and innovativenewA&S College Core.
The Department of Psychology housed within the College of Arts and Science is a community of tenure track and lecture track (continuing track) faculty with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research in psychology and neuroscience. Our 27 full-time faculty are organized into three overlapping areas representing clinical science cognition and cognitive neuroscience and neuroscience.
