SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT:
Support the Information Security Policy Risk and Compliance team in maintaining the organizations control framework conducting risk assessments and assisting with policy audit and compliance activities. This internship provides hands-on exposure to how security governance and risk oversight enable organizational resilience and regulatory confidence.
Responsibilities:
Assist with documentation and maintenance of the risk register control library and compliance evidence.
Support internal risk and control assessments using established frameworks (e.g. NIST).
Collect review and organize audit artifacts and policy documentation.
Help prepare dashboards reports and presentations using Excel or Power BI.
Participate in control testing and issue remediation tracking
Conduct basic research on emerging regulations and security standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Excel and document management tools.
Familiarity with GRC ticketing systems for workflow tracking.
Exposure to Power BI or Tableau for risk and compliance reporting.
Understanding of control frameworks and simple risk scoring models.
Functional Skills:
Foundational understanding of risk identification assessment and mitigation.
Ability to interpret control statements and relate them to organizational policies.
Awareness of key cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks (NIST ISO SOX GLBA HIPAA).
Strong analytical and documentation skills with attention to detail.
