Senior Blockchain Engineer - Encrypted Infrastructure

Location: New York (Office)

Compensation: $150K - $200K

We are a small fast-moving software company building an encrypted blockchain that combines deep expertise in cryptography compilers and distributed systems. Backed by top-tier investors including a16z and Polychain we are financially secure with several years of runway. We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our elite team in New York City and work on cutting-edge challenging engineering problems.

You will join a focused team of industry veterans and standout talent taking on significant decision-making responsibilities as you design and implement core components of our encrypted platform. This role requires the commitment to bring hard complex tasks to completion independently contributing to infrastructure that is fundamentally redefining secure data handling on-chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Development: Design build and maintain low-level infrastructure for an encrypted blockchain platform.
Problem Solving: Work independently to bring complex challenging engineering tasks to completion focusing on cryptography and distributed systems.
Technical Leadership: Contribute significant technical leadership and take on decision-making responsibilities within our small high-caliber engineering team.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with colleagues who possess deep expertise in cryptography compilers and distributed systems.

Requirements

Programming: Strong experience in either Rust C or C.
Experience: 2 years of software engineering experience; 4 preferred.
Mindset: Understands the commitment required to make a startup succeed and possesses a strong sense of autonomy to bring hard tasks to completion.
Location: Located in NYC or willing to relocate (this is not a remote position!).
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills.
Domain: You do not need to be crypto native.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):

Prior experience working at a startup or on a small team.
Experience with the Ethereum ecosystem especially Solidity reth and the EVM.
Bonus points for experience with trusted execution environments yocto or bitbake.
