About the role:

Reporting to the Supervisor Mine Maintenance the Plumber or Pipefitter / Gas Fitter is responsible for performing regular preventive maintenance diagnostics troubleshooting and repair of appliances equipment and accessories for a variety of facilities and systems at our Greenhills is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 day shift schedule. The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Elkford B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
Perform regular preventive maintenance diagnostics and complete repairs on HVAC units boilers and water and waste disposal systems
Troubleshoot all system problems including disassemble and reassemble of system components
Maintain create and record work order records
In certain components of this role it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal.

Requirements:

Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Plumber or Pipefitter certification
Class B Gas Fitting certification(or higher)
Willingness to pursue a certification as a Class A Gas fitter
Small Water and Small Wastewater systems ticket would be an asset
Valid drivers license
Working knowledge of basic computer systems (Microsoft Office)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to work cross functionally between trades
Experience in a mining environment is an asset

Hourly Wage: $ 52.72
