Job Summary

Position Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Med/Surg Unit
Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Job Type: Contract Local or Travel
Shift: 12-Hour Day Shifts (5x10s)

Local Pay: Up to $27/hr $952/week
Travel Pay: Up to $1111/week

Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a dynamic Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) team. The CNA will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) to deliver high-quality patient care assist with daily living activities and support clinical operations in a hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing grooming dressing feeding toileting and mobility.
Monitor and document vital signs (temperature pulse respiration blood pressure) and report significant changes to the nursing team.
Prepare patients for examinations procedures and surgeries ensuring comfort and safety.
Assist with wound care turning and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries.
Collect and label specimens (urine stool sputum) as directed.
Maintain accurate documentation of care observations and patient status.
Support RNs and physicians during clinical procedures.
Keep patient rooms and equipment clean sanitized and organized.
Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families.
Adhere to all hospital policies infection control standards and HIPAA regulations.
Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies notifying appropriate staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license New York State.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred).
Strong communication teamwork and patient care skills.
Knowledge of Med/Surg procedures and basic medical terminology.
