The Workforce and Talent Development teamis seeking aSenior Workplace Coachspecializing in aircraft structures and mechanical repair to join our dynamic team inJacksonville FL. This pivotal role is designed for an individual who will train mentor and develop our team to achieve excellence in aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) operations.

The ideal candidate will be critical in the effort to reduce rework improve first time quality promote safety and initiate process improvement(s) across all programs at the Jacksonville site.

You will serve as a Structures and Mechanical Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive knowledge and experience in commercial and military aircraft operations including F/A-18 KC-46 P-8A KC-135 and Flight Control Repair.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Train and develop employees in all structural-based aircraft skills ensuring alignment with Boeing Values and Behaviors.

  • Lead and coach employees on detailed structural operations and associated process specifications through curriculum development 1:1 performance development demonstrated proper use of tooling structured on the job training.

  • Demonstrate and coach how to read and interpret engineering drawings technical orders process specification and retrofit requirements.

  • Able to critically think and work with minimal oversight and deliver positive results while adhering to all Safety and FOD Pros and Processes.

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Foster a teaching/coaching environment and effectively communicate with Site and Senior Leadership.

  • Serve as a SME in commercial and military aircraft structural and mechanical work scope engaging with new hires to facilitate their integration into the shop floor.

  • Conduct analyses to evaluate teammate technical training needs and recommend appropriate skill enhancement/ training opportunities as needed.

  • Ability to interpret and leverage human factor data and rework trends to develop targeted training programs and innovative solutions to enhance teammate performance.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide recommendations to Operations Functional Support Groups and the Training Team.

  • Adjust work hours to support scheduled shift requirements and travel up to 10% as needed.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • 5 years of experience in aerospace materials and structures used on commercial and/or military aircraft

  • 5 years of experience in Structural assembly with an emphasis on match drilling aluminum titanium and composite materials

  • 5 years of experience with sheet metal assemblies drilling countersinking riveting and fastener installations/ removals

  • 5 years of experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings

  • 3 years of experience developing and implementing process improvements

  • 3 years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in training and/or mentoring teammates in a technical environment with strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work variable shifts including weekends holidays and overtime as applicable

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to deliver information verbally in one on one or group settings

  • Ability to learn and teach multiple platforms

  • Experience with QMS systems to assist in root cause corrective actions for any quality defects

  • Experience using any of the following systems: REDARS PSDS GOLDesp CLEaR and/or IVT

  • Advanced communication skills in working with teammates and senior levels of leadership
