You will become part of an innovative and dynamic team of 10 colleagues creating and promoting digital learning.
Learning Lab facilitates the global Fabo Learning Community that right now counts 30 member organisations (you can read more on ). Fabo is a customised learning platform built on top of Moodle an open-source learning management system. This internship will provide you with a unique opportunity to assist and work together with several national and international humanitarian and development organisations.
The internship is versatile and just as we expect you to want to learn from us we want to learn from you as well. Below you will find some more details.
General tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Support the development of learning hubs and dedicated learning pages on the Fabo platform for DCA departments and regional/country offices (e.g. East Africa Nepal). Contribute to improvements on the Fabo website which is built on WordPress.
- Support our communications efforts including updates newsletter and internal/external messaging.
- Depending on your background experience and motivation you may also contribute to visualising and creating interactive learning experiences graphics or other digital learning materials.
- Assist with planning and execution of Fabo events and activities.
- Turning different types of content into guides and templates for the Fabo community and DCA work.
- Assistance to and collaboration with Fabo members and the Fabo Community in general.
- Other administrative assignments and ad hoc tasks as needed.
- If you have any other relevant competences we are very open to get those into play as well.
As our future intern you will contribute by:
- Being engaged positive and proactive with your given tasks.
- Being open to contributing with suggestions on how to solve various challenges.
- Bringing your previous experience into your tasks.
We expect that:
You are currently enrolled in a relevant full-time study programme that provides you with competences and abilities to take on the above tasks. This could for example be Communications IT Multimedia Design UX Design etc. Graduates will not be considered for the internship.
- You are interested in digital learning communications and international development.
- Basic familiarity with Moodle and/or WordPress or previous experience with website editing is an advantage.
- A flair for working with graphics or coding is an advantage.
- You are fluent in English (our primary working language is English). Proficiency in Danish Spanish Arabic or French is an advantage.
- You have a high level of digital literacy. We take a blended approach to learning and the use of technology and digital solutions are highly integrated into our work.
- Knowledge or experience with learning research capacity sharing or communication is an advantage.
