Compensation: $28.50 - $39.18 per hour
Work Schedule: Full-time Monday Friday 7:30 am 4:00 pm (Flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs. This is currently a hybrid position with at least 2 days in office and 3 days working remotely. Schedule is based off of business needs.)
As a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant youll The Senior Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for reviewing and analyzing all supplier accounts including confirmation of banking details and resolving payment-related issues in a timely manner. This role requires providing accounts payable support to for Main Contract startups and Cross Functional Teams (Indirect). Daily accounts payable support includes processing high volume supplier invoices credit card expense reports and employee reimbursements. Primarily responsible for managing Tesseras check printing process and coordinating signage and mailing of checks. Assists Accounts Payable Supervisors with onboarding and training the accounts payable team members ensuring consistent workflow and a timely month end close. Lead a team of approximately 5-6 employees.
Supports and positively affects continuity between Tessera and employee goals. Supports company culture and commitment to excellence.
Maintains effective working relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment.
Assist with directing tasks and workload of the accounts payable team to meet department objectives. Provide support training and mentoring for new employees.
Serve as liaison between departments and vendors in resolution of administrative problems and inquiries.
Lead Supplier Statement Reconciliation Oversees monthly completion of supplier statements and assists the team with any roadblocks.
Lead Supplier Setup Up Verifies accuracy of information received and inputs into ERP System
Maintain Supplier Agreements and ensure proper maintenance filing electronic uploading and storage of records in case of audits.
Handle high volume accounts payable transactions - Receive code process and reconcile a wide variety of accounting documents such as invoices employee reimbursements credit card expenses vendor statements and petty cash.
Identify when to self-assess sales and use tax. Record self-assessed sales taxes by calculating requirements on reportable transactions at entry point.
Receive research and resolve routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status and statement discrepancies.
Assist Accounts Payable Supervisors with weekly check runs to include printing checks and coordinating with team members to ensure the check run is completed in a timely manner.
Responsible for Technical Trades Charter accounts payable entries including grants scholarships tool reimbursements and student stipends.
Assist with contract startups to include: establishing coding procedure in coordination with Project Accountants set up of new suppliers and assisting with invoice and credit card expense entry as needed.
Responsible for entry of monthly sales & use tax payment entries in Workday.
Maintain monthly fraud report and coordinate with team on outstanding reimbursements.
Maintain monthly 60 day outstanding invoice report and coordinate with team on payment.
Assist during the monthly and quarterly financial close process contributing ideas and innovations to improve upon existing systems and procedures.

Perform Accounts Payable Clerk Accounting Associate and Accounts Payable Accountant duties as needed.

Summary of desired skills and experience for the Tessera Senior Accounts Payable Accountant:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
3 5 years of previous experience in Accounting or Finance is required.
Combination of previous experience and education will be considered.
A valid state drivers license is preferred with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tesseras insurance.
